The annual figures published by the Department of Tourism and Marketing Commerce of Dubai (Dubai Tourism) showed that the city attracted more than 14.2 million visitors last year, becoming the fourth most visited city in the world. These figures reflect an increase of 7.5 percent over 2014 and twice the forecasts by the World Travel Organization of the United Nations (WTO). One of the reasons why Dubai continues to shine before the eyes of visitors is thanks to its list of world-renowned events offered each year. The International Festivals and Events Association has appointed Dubai for three consecutive years as “World City Festivals and Events.”
