3 DISTANCES, 2 ROUTES and 1 FINISH LINE…
On November 12th, 2017 the streets of Tangier’s city centre will host a unique event packed with excitement for the fourth consecutive year: The Tangier International Marathon with three officially approved distances.
#RUNJOYTANGER #TANGERMARATHON are the hashtags created by the organisers to follow one of the sporting events of the racing season. The fourth edition of the Tangier Marathon takes places on a Sunday and is organised by the Golden Feet Institute with support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation (FRMA). This is the perfect excuse to discover the city and enjoy a few days on the other side of the strait.
The event will consist of a marathon, a half marathon and a 10km race, the international standards for road races (IAAF-FRMA), and all three races will start and finish in Plaza Massira Khadra.
This totally urban circuit will pass through the main tourist areas in the city (Avenue Mohamed VI, Route Plage Mercala, Rocade Dradeb, Avenue Banafsaj, Route de Rahrah, Avenue Moulay Rachid, Route des Grottes d’Hercule…) forming a map of the route and a unique opportunity to discover Tangier and its charms.
