Secrets to sleep well and wake up even better

Who has not noticed the importance of a good rest? Sleep is a basic part in the physical and mental well being of everyone.

We know that a good rest does not depend on the hours of sleep, but the quality. The number of hours should be around six, however experts recommend eight. We not all need the same hours of sleep to face the day, but whether should be five; six or eight is of no use, if we do not have a good rest.

Sleep well strengthens our immune system, improves mood, contributes to a good emotional balance, regenerates organs, encourages concentration, enhances memory, reduces stress and we continue on listings many other benefits.

We went to the Miguel Angel Hotel by BlueBay in Madrid to speak with Teresa, Head of Housekeeper, for over 10 years. While she gave some advices for a quality rest, she underlined the importance of a bed well made and showed us one of the Hotel rooms in order that a Housekeeper assistant indicated us step by step how to make a King Size bed in a five stat hotel.

Furthermore, experts recommend a relaxing shower, a light dinner two hours before bedtime, avoiding stimulating drinks after 6.00 pm and dynamic activities after dinner, using soft and indirect light, a couple of minutes of deep breathing…in brief, a number of simple habits that you should incorporate into your routine in order to have a good sleep.
