The Paris Haute Couture Week

The Paris Couture Week is always a benchmark worldwide for its quality and style as far as fashion is concerned. Paris Couture Week works as a perfect network of iconic fashion houses and top-level models. Paris hosts this Haute Couture twice a year, coinciding with the start of each season.

The Couture Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2015 took place from January 25th to January 29th.

This season, Swarovski is proud to push the boundaries in creativity with the designers Yiqing Yin, Alexandre Vauthier, and Serkan Cura. All of them showcased groundbreaking craftsmanship featuring Swarovski crystals during the Haute Couture Week.

Yiqing Yin

A stripped down to the basics palette which defines best this self-found and majestic woman part of a whole line of other women by displaying as a second skin a tattoo both ancestral and futuristic. Tribal and at the same time primitive, the burn-out jersey acts as a second skin, one which would be tattooed down to the core. Swarovski crystals cast a silhouette of light. This collection is all about melody. 40 meters of Crystal Mesh Standard, 2 panels of Crystal Mesh Standard, 5 panels of Crystal Fine Mesh and Transfers. 

Alexandre Vauthier

This season, the emerald was in the center of attention, being one of the key colors in the collection. Alexandre Vauthier proved to be a high-talented couturier by flaunting his technical brilliance with Swarovski crystals, embroideries on dresses mastered to the perfection. More than 12.000 Crystal stones used excluding transfers panels made especially for the designer in Emerald.

Serkan Cura

This season, Serkan Cura was inspired by Greek goddesses, divinities. The models were represented strong, free, adventurous, but melancholic. Feathers and crystals ran the catwalk. The waist was caught in corsets, being definitely one distinguished signature of the house’s DNA. More than 150.000 Crystal stones used.
