SsangYong Motor Company announced the name of a new model with its rendering image which has been developed for 3 years.
SsangYong’s new model developed under the project name ‘X100’ will be named as ‘Tivoli’. Followed by rendering image, SsangYong Motors plans to continue promotion of Tivoli till its launching in Korea in January, 2015.
Tivoli is a name of Italian city located adjacent to Rome, which has been long beloved by many people as a resort town and well known for its cultural heritage such as Villa d’Este and beautiful scenery of nature. Inspired by this, a new model is named as ‘Tivoli’, pursuing to provide inspiration and excitement while succeeding SsangYong’s heritage as a specialized SUV maker.
Along with a name, SsangYong Motors revealed rendering images of exterior and interior. The exterior features urban dynamic SUV look with modern silhouette, embodying rhythmical motion under SsangYong’s design language, ‘Nature-born 3 Motion’ – Rhythmical, Dynamic, Dignified.
When it comes to interior, compact deluxe style featuring modernity of luxurious lounge and practical inner space allowing enough storage area and easy access to IT devices are designed to satisfy customers both in style and practical use.
Meanwhile, reflecting the character and styling of the new car, font for ‘Tivoli’ is based on ‘serif’, modifying it in a way to make the width of vertical stroke even and widen overall width in order to embrace heritage of the name and modern rhythmical image of the car harmoniously.
‘Tivoli’ will go on sales in Korea in January and globally during the 2nd quarter, 2015. SsangYong has thoroughly worked on improving product quality through extensive and analytical market research, and expects a new compact SUV model to lead a trend in car market.
