Thanks to an agreement with Telefónica and just pending for the approval of the Spanish authorities
Vueling is the first airline to offer high speed WiFi connection on board. This news was presented yesterday morning and it is thanks to an agreement with Telefónica that will connect up to 20Mbps on an Airbus A320.
To be able to have high speed WiFi connection on board, the company have had to make changes on the plane and add a Ka-band antenna. This system will only be activated from 3000 meters away.
The airline already has the approval of the EASA although the approval of the Spanish authorities still pending.
High speed WiFi connection on board will be an extra paid service for passengers but it wont be expensive.
