With the magnificent Hajar mountains as a backdrop, the calm white sand beaches and lush vegetation, Fujairah has always been one of the favorite weekend destination of local tourists. Now it also attracts international travelers.

Fujairah is the youngest of the seven emirates that make up the country and the only one on the coast of the Gulf of Oman. Its capital, the city of unique beauty, Al Fujairah, amazes with the beauty of its wide and spacious streets, decorated with modern architectural buildings.

The highlight of the city is the museum and Fort of Al Bithnah. Moreover, Al Fujairah has the Al Badiyah Mosque, the smallest and oldest of all Arab Emirates, dating back to 1446. The mosque is flanked by two ancient towers built by the Portuguese in the late fifteenth century.

This emirate owes its nickname of the Jewel of Arabia to its quiet sandy beaches, perfect for water sports and diving, where each year thousands of tourists come to admire the beauty of the underwater world. It is also possible to go on a desert safari in a 4×4 or take a trip through its mountains. Shopping lovers should visit the many market stalls and shops as well as the famous Friday Market.

Within its expansion plan in the Middle East, BlueBay Hotels & Resorts plans to open a new resort in Fujairah, in order to expand their tourism in this area.
