Booking Experiences predicts travellers wishes

Booking.com launches the pilot of its Experiences bot leveraging AI technology and powerful machine learning to predict travellers wishes and create a perfectly adapted and personalised destination experience.

Using the latest technology, Booking Experiences turns the trip into an extremely smooth experience, allowing travellers to discover the best of each destination. Unique in its category and cared for to the last detail, Booking Experiences works on demand through mobiles by priority and free of charge.

The Booking.com app for Amsterdam is now available in iOS and Android versions. At the end of the month, the company will launch the Booking Experience pilot for Paris, London and Dubai, and the version for New York is set to go live in autumn 2016.

Unlike other tools of this type, Booking Experiences is managed from within the Booking.com app to avoid redirections to third party websites. After booking a stay in one of the cities on offer from Booking Experiences travellers can instantly book entrance tickets to interesting places and attractions participating in the product through a unique QR code in the Booking.com app.

Now there’s no need to book in advance or queue to buy tickets, all you need to do is scan the code with your mobile, and the QR code is automatically linked to a credit card. Travellers can view a complete list of thing to do and visit in their destination in advance or explore them on the go when they are there.

The Booking Experiences technology combines these recommendations with customers travel preferences and data from third parties, such as the waiting time at the most visited museums. With time, this technology learns to offer more personalised, timely, and appropriate suggestions to travellers to tailor the destination experience.
