To be useful and provide better customer service prevail among the objectives of companies when launching their application for SmartWatch.

There is no doubt that any company must adapt to the times and technological developments. There is also no doubt that the tourist business is one that should most be aware of everything.

Therefore, since Apple released the Apple Watch last spring, many tourism companies have already developed their own applications for the watch. The goal is always the same: to offer better service to customers and be more than helpful with valuable content. Making life easier and more comfortable.

Airlines were the first to launch. Among others, Vueling, American Airlines, Lufthansa and easyJet already have their own applications. With these you can have your boarding pass on your wrist, along with the countdown of the time left for boarding, flight status, information about foreign exchange rates or the weather forecast on arrival. Some like American Airlines go even further and, according to the traffic, tell you which is the best time to leave for the airport.

The TripAdvisor opinion site could not stay behind. Its app for Apple Watch offers recommendations of the points of interest as well as location and time directions to walk or take a shuttle.

Moreover, the Citymapper is the star application when public transport is concerned. With it you can view the route to any subway or train station, check schedules or count down stops to our destination. In Spain, it is available for the underground services of Madrid and Barcelona.

The hotels also sign up for Apple Watch. Among others, in some Starwood hotels you can check-in and open the room with the watch itself. More hotel chains are in the research or development phase of applications for the watch. Undoubtedly, the airlines have taken the lead in the matter.
