Malaga loves beach parties: Weekend Beach Festival

Malaga and summer go hand in hand. Beaches, good food, the best weather and of course, one of the best beach festivals that’s going from strength to strength each year thanks to its ever eclectic and powerful line-up and first-rate planning and organisation.

Rap, Fusion, Rock, Electronica…. the Weekend Beach line-up has it all. This year, the festival is celebrating its 5th anniversary from July 4-7 at the Torre del Mar beach in Malaga. International acts on the line-up include DAVID GUETTA, THE OFFSPRING, JIMMY CLIF, ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION, ALBOROSIE, PENDULUM DJ SET and LOCO DICE. Spain is also well-represented with BUNBURY, IZAL, MACACO, LA RAÍZ, JUANITO MAKANDÉ, SFDK, MALA RODRIGUEZ, PACO OSUNA, EL CANIJO DE JEREZ, SIDECARS, NEUMAN and many more.

More than 90 national and international artists, four days, four stages, onsite camping next to the beach, recreation and chill out areas, food and lots of music are the ingredients on offer to plan a weekend at the beach in the best possible company. To celebrate its 5th anniversary the festival has organised a huge party that’s sure to go down in the history books with an incredible mix of musical styles including rock, pop, reggae, hip hop, fusion and electronica.

The international section brings big names like the Parisian DAVID GUETTA, who will surely have the crowd hopping and screaming for more, while rock fans can enjoy THE OFFSPRING. Legendary punks THE TOY DOLLS and the brutality of ILL NIÑO are also sure to rock it. Reggae will also feature strongly with well-known Jamaican JIMMY CLIFF, the mythical INNER CIRCLE, and innovative artists like ALBOROSIE  and ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION taking their live set to the extreme, while young guns like THE QEMISTS, who are back for the second time, DUBIOZA KOLECTIV and WE THE LION are sure to pull a few surprises. NACH joins the festival’s line-up replacing WYCLEFF JEAN, which cancels its European tour.

Spanish acts also feature prominently on the bill with BUNBURY, AVALANCH, GATILLAZO, LA FUGA, BOIKOT, MACACO, LA RAÍZ, LA PEGATINA, JUANITO MAKANDÉ, EL CANIJO DE JEREZ, MUCHACHITO, ESKORZO, SFDK, EL LANGUI, NATOS y WAOR and MALA RODRIGUEZ all performing.

IZAL, one of the big names on the line-up will present their new album “Autoterapia” with a spectacular light show that’s sure to leave the crowd gasping for more. DORIAN, another huge name on the Spanish pop scene is also an act you don’t want to miss. And LA M.O.D.A. have put aside their retirement plans to perform in Torre del Mar alongside SIDECARS, VIVA SUECIA and the incredible voices of NEUMAN.

The WEEKEND warm summer nights will see national and international DJs like LOCO DICE take to the stage for his first visit to Malaga, the techno rock-electro star VITALIC LIVE, underground techno DJ ADAM BEYER, the tech-house UK artist ALAN FITZPATRICK, engineer and producer MATADOR, the ever-popular PENDULUM DJ SET, the mastery of PACO OSUNA, HOT SINCE 82 and the female wizardry of FATIMA HAJJI.

Then, there’s also the spectacular welcoming party with GREEN VALLEY, DANZA INVISIBLE, FYAHBWOY, CELTAS CORTOS, HUECCO and LA PEGATINA all performing.
