Between April 30 and May 3, FIT will host the leading tourist destinations in the Iberian Peninsula with more than 500 sector stakeholder expected to attend the event.

This year is the sixth edition of the fair, and the organisers of the event, Guarda City Council today announced that Ávila would participate in the FIT under the slogan Ávila te toca (Ávila, you’re up) to promote its nature destinations and artistic, cultural and culinary heritage.

Every year 35,000 Portuguese and Spaniards attend FIT close to the Spanish border of Castile and León. This year the site will cover no less than 11,000 square metres of exhibition space.
The organisation also said that other tourist destinations close to the border between Portugal and Spain such as A Coruña, Salamanca and Badajoz have also confirmed their attendance at the sixth edition of FIT.
