Interesting destination for demanding travellers

We are going to put it very easy for you, tireless traveller, to choose your next destination. We know that the search for a new adventure in our days is becoming almost a full time job. It is not easy to find that special corner in the world with a lush natural environment and sites full of history and legend. It should also be a place not too familiar for the ‘common’ tourist, however must have good raw material for ‘social media’ in order to post everything in your Instagram or Facebook account. Please trust us and pay attention to the following proposals.

THE ROAD OF ALSACE

Please write down these names: Riquewihr, Eguisheim, Turckheim, Colmar, Hunawihr… These are some of the most charming villages you can find in the vineyard route of the Alsace region. Experiences that will make you discover places and corners in the heart of Europe almost untouched by tourism. We would like to highlight for architecture lovers that in Colmar has recently opened the extension of the Unterlinden Museum, a major Project of Herzog & De Meuron, with a medieval cloister and the chapel with the famous Issenheim altarpiece of Matthias Grünewald (a masterpiece of the Gothic work) together with new modern and contemporary rooms in the museum.

KENYA, THE YEAR OF SIMBA

The environmental foundation Born Free has stated 2016 as the Year of the Lion to make the public at large aware of these species endangered at this present moment. Figures speak for themselves: – from 250,000 on the African continent a century ago compared to today’s figure which is 20,000 and still decreasing. We would like to propose an experience in Meru National Park (Kenya), a place where you can hear very near the lion’s roar. This place was the home of Elsa the lioness, star of the legendary film “Born Free”, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary.

CANADA AND ITS BEACHES

Even it does not sound very exotic and uninspiring, companies like Air Canada or Air Transat have direct flights to the Gulf Islands (Southern Gulf Islands) and its lovely pebble beaches and fishing villages.  Sandy spaces flanked by cliffs over 10 meters, creating interesting camping spots of great value in the West Cost Trail, a route of 75 kilometres of trails along the coast of Vancouver (British Columbia), in Western Canada.

THE MOUNTAINOUS

We are still in the American continent, but this time at equatorial and high latitudes. For those emerging ecotourism lovers, we are proposing some routes, which are getting very popular in El Salvador. On one hand, there is the route focused on coffee in the Western part of the country. On the other hand, we recommend the Mountainous and the Vanilla Forest, in the area of Chalatenango. Please do not forget these names, as it would be more and more familiar until they reach the ‘must’ category, you will see…
