The city will host the 2020 Universal Exposition under the premise of sustainability, mobility and opportunity

It is a well known fact that Dubai has a way of easily leaving gobsmacked anyone interested in the buildings or the luxury of the emirate. Dubai specializes in breaking records, and from now on it will so in organizing large events that surpass any other similar ever held before.

Dubai will host the 2020 Universal Exposition, promoting it with a slogan “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future“. The Dubai Expo 2020 program will focus on innovative projects of renewable energies to build a sustainable world at present and for the future. And they believe the mobility, sustainability and relevance to be essential, as key elements in the development.

In addition, associations and cooperation between countries to achieve these goals is another key point of the exhibition, as well as new ways to boost economic development. The organization won’t cease to insist on this idea: “The UAE has reiterated its commitment to creating a truly transformative event which, through partnerships and collaboration, will seek to promote innovative, inspirational and practical creation of a collective future” reads the official website of the event.

For its development, the emirate has provided a land of 438 hectares of which 150 are devoted exclusively to the exhibition area. The rest will be put up for services, accommodation and logistics. It is expected that all installations be completed by October 2019, aiming at equipping it with the highest technology of the moment within a year from then.

Dubai has taken every effort to make sure that the third largest non-commercial event in the world after the Olympics and the World Cup Games is on everyone’s lips. It is expected that during the course of the fair the emirate will receive about 25 million visitors, of which only 30% will be the residents of the UAE. The emirate will undoubtedly become the capital of the world from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021.
