Madrid Surf Film Festival arrives for the first time to Madrid

This May Cineteca Matadero Madrid will host the first edition of Madrid Surf Film Festival, an event that already is celebrated with great success in other Spanish cities, and that is a real tribute to the ocean, surf, and the unique and committed lifestyle that involves both. The program includes three days of screenings of documentaries surf and environmental, in addition to photo exhibitions, surf activities, special guests and music.

It will be the weekend from 27 to 29 May, when the renowned event convenes in Madrid directors, professionals surfing industry, athletes and all the great family and friends in the world of surfing, to enjoy the most fascinating stories captured by the camera of the best artists in this genre. Hand of those responsible for the Canaries Surf Film Festival, which already has its fourth edition, the Madrid is conceived under two premises: absolute passion for the ocean and the need to protect it; and a selection of high-quality projections, produced by local, national and international filmmakers awarded at prestigious festivals such as New York, San Diego, London or Sydney.

In addition to the screenings, the program includes three full days of complementary activities, such as presentations by professionals on the protection of the oceans and the surf industry; surfing workshops (Carver); masterclass yoga; photographic exhibitions related to the same topic. To attend just buy the ticket online or at the box office an hour before Matadero projections. The price of admission is € 3.5 per session, which has an approximate duration of 90 minutes, and in which several (short, medium and long) works will be shown.
