Due to new technologies, Disney will be able to create alternative dialogues depending on the actor’s lips’ movements.
Disney Research is a new technology which will allow to gain a dubbing more real than now. This idea will be reached adjusting every sentence according to the lips’ movements.
This technology uses the following mechanism: based in an automatic mapping of phonemes and the lips’ movements, the final sentence will come out through the voice’s encapsulation. Disney recently confirmed “this new technology explores the natural ambiguity on the visual speech and offers a vision for the automatic voice recognition and the importance of the language shaping”.
The new Disney Research is in testing process with just once sentence in English, turned into another sentences in the same language. Disney Research hasn’t confirmed the launching of this new dubbing tool.
